Since 1982, R.S. Owens & Company has been making the world famous Oscar.

Each Oscar statue is hand casted individually and then taken through an intricate process to get it show-ready, including four different kinds of electroplating before being dipped in liquid gold.

R.S. Owens & Company President Scott Siegel said they do not know winners for the awards in advance, but actually make name plates for all nominees in each category. The plates are not added until after the award recipient is announced.
